FAQs

Denali’s founder, Dr. Brett J. Earl, discusses some of the common questions we receive at Denali Medical Center in this entertaining video with his children staring as special guests.

General Questions

How much does it cost?

For the current price of our new patient consultation, please call our office. During this consultation, we learn more about your condition and discuss your health history. The goal of the consultation is to find the root cause of what is going on in your body. Most people proceed with their first treatment during their initial consultation.

For most patients, their total cost at Denali is far less compared to other routes. For example, the typical knee replacement surgery is over $55,000. By the time you pay your annual deductible plus your 20% co-pay, you could be paying around $15,000. This does not include your time off work, risk of infection, months of rehab (and that time off work), etc.

Take a look at our Treatment Comparison chart to help you differentiate between various options. Our RenuO2 Package is in the high 80s when it comes to effectiveness (and is much less expensive).

Our RenuO2 Package consists of 6 treatments over a span of 12 weeks. At the end of this period, the vast majority of people have noticed drastic improvements. Pricing depends on the area; see below

  • Soft Tissue (any muscle or ligaments; muscle spasms, hamstring, glutes, etc.) – $1,314
  • 1 Joint (ankle, knee, hip, shoulder, elbow, wrist or single SI joint) – $1,854
  • 2 Joints (ex. both knees or 1 ankle plus 1 wrist, etc.) – $3,708
  • Spine & Bilateral SI Joints (ex. neck, upper back, lower back or both SI joints) – $2,250
  • Migraines – $3,149

The cost of our Drip Room IV treatments are $199

With our treatments, there’s no need to take time off of work for recovery time, saving you additional time and money.

Does Insurance Cover It?

Our treatments are considered functional medicine and because services that fall under root source healing are typically not covered by insurance, it has the appearance of being more expensive.

The reality is functional medicine is very affordable in comparison to conventional medicine.

The majority of our clients discover that it ends up costing them considerably less than the average co-pays and costs for surgery. Plus, there’s no need to take time off work for recovery time or physical therapy, saving additional time and money. Not to mention the additional cost of prescriptions and pain meds.

Our typical clients are willing to invest in their health to improve and optimize their well-being. They’re often frustrated by the standard norm of ‘diagnose and prescribe’ and are looking for a better, more effective solution. By the end of their treatments they have a deep understanding and appreciation of what it truly means to heal. Isn’t it time to make your health a priority?

We accept cash, credit cards, along with healthcare options including CareCredit and HSA accounts.

RenuO2 FAQs

What is RenuO2?

Renu02 is an amazing all-natural oxygen treatment for your back, neck, knees, shoulders, tendons, bursa, as well as all joints and muscles. It treats the root cause of the problem without harmful drugs or surgery at the fraction of the cost.

It is an injection infused with oxygen and nutrients which gets directed into the problem area to stimulate healing. These natural ingredients work together in a synergistic manner, helping your body to regenerate cartilage and repair torn muscles, ligaments and tendons.

What are the ingredients in RenuO2?

Renu02 contains a combination of natural substances including empowered oxygen, Vitamin B complex, Dextrose along with Procaine and Lidocaine. Unlike muscles, most of these ‘problem areas’ don’t have a blood supply to bring them oxygen, which makes it difficult to heal after an injury. The small amount of Lidocaine and Procaine is for numbing and to help reset the nerves. It causes a temporary, mild inflammation which stimulates your body to heal. Dextrose helps tighten up the ligaments temporarily and the nutrients of the B complex along with the boost of oxygen are what the body needs to heal more effectively.

How long will it take to notice a difference?

Many of our patients notice improvements after two to three treatments. This varies depending on the severity of the condition.

Chronic diseases, including chronic pain, don’t happen overnight; it often takes years to manifest. Thus, full resolution takes time.

Time frame varies from case to case with degeneration and severe damage affecting the time and number of treatments needed. At the initial consultation, your practitioner will provide a recommendation based on your individual conditions. Depending on the situation, they may also recommend supplements to help speed up the healing process.

Our RenuO2 Package consists of 6 treatments over a span of 12 weeks and we’ve been seeing success rates in the high 80s.

How far apart are the treatments?

After your first treatment, we typically like to see you back a week to ten days later. Then the appointments are typically scheduled around 2 weeks apart until you’ve reached the point where you’re healed or content with the progress.

Chronic diseases, including chronic pain, don’t happen overnight; it often takes years to manifest. Thus, full resolution takes time.

Our RenuO2 Package provides the best value and highest success rate (success rate is in the high 80’s when patients complete recommended treatment). This package includes 6 treatments over a 12-week period.

Will I need to take off work?

Renu02 is a natural treatment that has no known side effects other than minor discomfort from the injection which typically goes away after a few hours. It is fast-acting and, since it is not an invasive surgery, there is no need for recovery time or time off work.

Many of our clients drive themselves to and from treatments and can easily fit their treatments into their busy workday.

What areas of the body can RenuO2 treat?

Our empowered treatment can be used for relief with post surgical recovery, post surgical pain, osteoarthritis, partial anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tears, meniscus tears, tendinitis, bursitis, disc herniation, bulging discs, spinal arthritis, bone on bone joints, frozen shoulder, bone spurs, plantar fasciitis, unresolved pain from past injuries, sports injuries, partial rotator cuff tears, carpal tunnel and more.

Will this work for my specific case?

RenuO2 is a great option for relieving pain and inflammation. It is essentially an injection with empowered oxygen and nutrients that work together in a synergistic manner by helping and directing your body to regenerate cartilage and repair torn muscles, ligaments and tendons.

We often see a diverse range of clients – ranging from the young trying to recover quickly from an accident to those suffering from chronic back and neck pain to the elderly looking for alternatives for knee and hip replacement surgeries. They range in age, severity of issue as well as area of pain or concern.

One thing in common with our typical patients is that they are willing to invest in their health to improve and optimize their well-being. They’re often frustrated by the standard norm of ‘diagnose and prescribe’ and are looking for a better, more effective solution.

Do I need imaging before I come in?

Imaging is not required to move forward with treatment. However, if you have imaging, feel free to bring that in during the New Patient Consultation. In some situations, we may request imaging but typically it isn’t necessary because we’re often treating larger areas and not necessarily a pinpoint location.

Because our specialists are trained to assess the underlying cause of inflammation and illness, we treat the body as one integrated system and often the solution lies outside of the ‘problem area’. The RenuO2 injections are strategically placed in areas that are interconnected which is why imaging isn’t as vital with our treatments. For example, even though someone may experience pain in the L4-L5 area, we often treat the entire lumbar spine from L1 to S1. This treatment style has shown incredible success for us. We’re seeing an 83% success rate when patients complete their recommended treatment.

Why am I just hearing about it if it has been around for so long?

Renu02 has evolved from other treatments (ex. Prolozone and Prolotherapy) that has been in the United States in a variety of forms since 1980 and much longer in other countries. It is not a conventional treatment offered by Big Pharma and therefore many people don’t know much about it. Plus, the margins are much smaller, unlike surgeries and prescriptions, so you’re not going to see widespread advertising campaigns. Keep in mind that just because you may not have heard of it before, it doesn’t mean that Renu02 doesn’t work. We’ve seen very high success rates! I’d encourage you to take a look at our Google Reviews as well as Facebook Reviews.

What’s the difference between RenuO2 and Prolozone?

RenuO2 Oxygen Therapy treatments are placed in the fascial planes. This allows you to receive a much broader and more inclusive spread of the medications than you would receive from Prolozone Therapy. Prolozone injections often cause light trauma to the body which the healing process must first overcome prior to healing the damaged muscle or joint. Injection trauma from Prolozone happens because the injections are made much deeper and with much more force – as much as 1,200 psi or more at the tip of a needle. In stark contrast, RenuO2 Oxygen Therapy is delivered softly into the fascial plane and does not cause trauma to the body. Instead, RenuO2 treatments are gently placed in such a way that the body readily accepts them. Rather than forcing the body to deal with additional trauma as in the case of a Prolozone injection, RenuO2 Oxygen Therapy allows the body to directly focus on healing.

Migraine Clinic FAQs

What is a Migraine Reset?

A Migraine Reset also called a SPG (sphenopalatine ganglion) block, is a short, 15-minute in-office and FDA-approved procedure that administers medication to the SPG to reset, or block, the inflammation that causes migraines. It’s a non-invasive, virtually painless procedure that provides long-lasting – often permanent – relief from migraines and other chronic headaches. Since a Migraine Reset trains the SPG nerve cluster to ignore migraine triggers, the process can take a little time (often 2-3 visits) for the body to adjust. However, once the body acclimates, it provides effective and long-lasting pain relief.

What is the SPG?

The sphenopalatine ganglion (SPG) is a collection of neurons inside the head that are exposed to the outside environment due to its connection to the nasal mucosa.

How long will the procedure take?

This in-office procedure takes approximately 15 minutes. We recommend you plan about 45 minutes of total time at Denali Medical Center each time you get a Migraine Reset.

Will it hurt?

In comparison to the previous procedure (and other migraine treatment procedures), it is considered a comfortable procedure. The Migraine Reset uses no needles.  However, the small flexible catheter may cause slight discomfort during your first visit.

What are the associated risks and side effects?

The risks of a Migraine Reset is minimal. However, on a rare occasion, patients experience a bloody nose. In extremely rare cases, the first treatment can trigger a migraine event in your body.  (This may happen due to your body not being used to the procedure.) As with any medications, there is a slight risk of an allergic reaction to the medication.  This is why a Migraine Reset is monitored by a doctor.
